Regulatory updates
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, delays in publications of changed regulations occured. Below you can find an overview of the status per modality and regulation.
- AIR
- ICAO/IATA TI: changes have been confirmed and become mandatory on the 1st of January 2021. These changes are included in our release on the 1st of January.
- ROAD
- ADR: changes have been confirmed and become mandatory on the 1st of July 2021. These changes are included in our release on the 1st of January.
- 49CFR: will be updated when changes become available. Note, as from the new year, the ORM-D (Other Regulated Material) classification will be part of the past, and is replaced by the Limited Quantity exemption. More information can be found here.
- TDG: will be updated when changes become available.
- ADG: will be updated when changes become available. Edition 7.7 is the latest edition and can be used from the 1st of October 2020 and is mandatory from the 1st of October 2021. The commencement date in some states may bve later than 1 October 2020, please check with your competent authority.
- RAIL
- RID: changes have been confirmed and become mandatory on the 1st of July 2021. These changes are included in our release on the 1st of January.
- INLAND WATERWAYS:
- ADN: changes have been confirmed and become mandatory on the 1st of July 2021. These changes are included in our release on the 1st of January.
- SEA
- IMDG: we are awaiting the final confirmation. The meeting, in which the confirmation of the proposed changes is effected, has been held in November and we are expecting the report of that meeting, in which changes are officially confirmed, to be published any moment. IMDG 2020 becomes mandatory on the 1st of June 2022 but can be used from the 1st of January 2021 as usual. The current IMDG code 2018 (amdt. 39-18) can be used until the 31st of May 2022.
General updates
- Improvements of existing functionalities and background tasks.
- Portuguese will be added as new user interface language.
- Developments relevant to existing SDS functionalities.
- Process Editor: a new module will be added via which processe and related instructions can be made and maintained. It is connected with other SDS modules.
